READING AT PHILADELPHIA GALLERY


Trenton writer and Trenton Artists Workshop Association member Daniel Aubrey will read at the 3rd Street Gallery in Philadelphia on Saturday, November 24, at 3 p.m.

A playwright, journalist, and museum exhibition writer, Aubrey will read new poems and selections from his science fiction story “crashtrenton.blog.”

Aubrey is a member of the Dramatist Guild of America and arts editor for U.S. 1 newspaper. He has written texts for the Franklin Institute, Philadelphia Zoo, and the New Jersey World War II Memorial which appears behind him in the above photo.

He has also worked at La Mama ETC in New York City, served as a writer in resident for the Actor's Equity contracted Foundation Theater, and was the recipient of a New Jersey Governor’s Award for his contributions to arts education in theater. 

Aubrey presents and organizes readings at art galleries and has read at the New Jersey State Museum, Trenton City Museum, Prince Street Gallery in New York City, Philadelphia Art Alliance, and more.   

The November 24 reading is being presented in conjunction with two art exhibitions at the gallery:  Priscilla Snow Algava’s “Acceptance” and Rhea Dennis’s “Coming into the Light.”

The free program is sponsored by the Trenton Artists Workshop Association and a reception will follow.
